Yesterday, October 1st, Elder Poulson and I were asked to transplant some vinca ground cover to fill in a long stretch of barren ground on top of the Hill Cumorah. It was cool and windy and looked like rain, but it held off until we were finished. As we worked Elder Poulson said, "Just think, Moroni dug around in the hill". And I had been thinking a thought something like this: "Did you ever, ever in your life think you would ever be planting vinca at the feet of Moroni on the Hill Cumorah?" Some cool thoughts to have in such a sacred place. We are so blessed to be here. We pinch ourselves every day.
